Use cases · Teams with support, security and other agents
Account for the agents that don't write code.
A support agent answering email, a review bot or a pen test agent costs money like any coding agent. Any agent that can make an HTTP call reports its own token entries, and its cost lands on a project and a person.
Agents nobody runs by hand still cost money.
- What does the support agent cost a month?
- Who answers for an agent that runs on its own?
- What does the same bot cost across all projects?
One call per session.
These token entries arrive automatically. They never go on a token sheet.
- 1
Create a service token
The person who creates it becomes the agent manager and answers for the agent's cost.
- 2
Report each session
One HTTP call per session: tokens, model, start and end time, and a summary. Reported cost is optional.
- 3
Name the work, or let rules place it
A ticket named in the call wins over every rule. Without one, rules place it, or it stays organization overhead with its person.
- 4
Total by agent name
An agent name such as “review bot” totals the same agent across every project.
The same accounting for every agent.
Agents belong to everyone
Engineers, designers, managers and support all run agents. Every token entry has a person who answers for it.
Summary and tags are the only text
No prompts, no customer messages, no file contents. The service drops any event that carries prompt text.
CI agents through the GitHub Action
In CI, the GitHub Action reports what agents spend and names the project. A review of a pull request lands on that pull request's ticket.
